Amy is the founder and co-owner of AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd, which she established in 2012. She had 12 years of previous experience in a variety of accounting roles at the time , she now oversees all aspects of the business, providing leadership, support, and expertise across the board.
Amy began her career in practice, completing her AAT qualification back in 2004. She later moved into industry, joining the international fashion brand Karen Millen as an Accounts Assistant, where she managed company sales and global franchise accounts. Later Finance Managing a niche Recruitment agency which gave her passion set up the business and to work with small growing businesses.
Since founding AJ Accounts, Amy’s expertise supports a wide range of small to medium-sized businesses, offering financial management and strategic advice to help clients navigate every stage of their growth whist promoting tax efficiencies.
Molly Ford ACCA
Accountant
Molly joined AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd in May 2019 while completing her second year of AAT studies.
Since then, she has achieved her AAT qualification and is now a fully qualified ACCA accountant. Molly plays a key role in the practice, handling all aspects of taxation across all departments. Her expertise ensures that clients receive comprehensive support and advice in personal tax, corporate tax, VAT, and other financial matters.
Gemma Leonard
Personal Tax Manager
Gemma has been a valued member of AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd since 2017, bringing extensive experience in bookkeeping, customer service, and finance.
In her current role, Gemma manages the Personal Tax Returns for AJ Accounts, assisting individuals with tax compliance and self-assessment filings. She is committed to providing a smooth and efficient tax process, helping clients navigate their obligations while maximising tax efficiency.
Christina Johnson
Christina joined AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd in 2022, bringing valuable experience in purchase and sales ledger management from her previous accounts role in Hatton Garden for a Diamond retailer . She has achieved her AAT Level 3 qualification, further strengthening her accounting expertise.
In her current role, she specialises in VAT management and bookkeeping. She also oversees CIS Returns, providing support to construction industry clients. With a strong focus on property clients, Christina’s expertise helps property businesses navigate their tax and financial obligations efficiently.
Maisie Carter
Maisie joined AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd in 2022 and has shown great commitment to her professional development, self-studying to successfully achieve her AAT Level 3 qualification.
She specialises in VAT management, helping businesses stay compliant with reporting requirements. Maisie also provides bookkeeping services for construction companies and handles CIS Returns, offering reliable support to clients in the construction industry with their financial and tax responsibilities.
Claire Shaw
Claire joined AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd in February 2025, bringing with her over 20 years of experience in the finance industry.
In her current role as Payroll Manager, she ensures clients’ payroll is processed accurately and on time. Claire also provides payroll advice, supporting clients with queries and helping them navigate ever-changing payroll regulations with confidence. She is also the office Excel wizard !
Amy Day
Amy joined AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd in November 2024, bringing over 15 years of accountancy experience to the team. She is a fully Chartered Accountant after becoming ACCA qualified in 2011.
At AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd, Amy specialises in year-end accounts and corporation tax, providing reliable expertise to help businesses meet their compliance obligations with confidence.
Kadie Masters
Kadie joined AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd in October 2020, bringing several years of accountancy experience to the team from many years in a local practice.
Kadie works on year-end accounts preparation and provides bookkeeping support, ensuring our clients’ records are accurate and up to date.
Cheryl Richardson
Cheryl joined AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd in April 2023, bringing with her a strong background in customer service and administration, along with nine years of experience in the property industry.
She plays a key role in our admin team, managing Company Secretarial, Companies House filings, overseeing our accounts receivable, and handling client onboarding to ensure a smooth and welcoming start for every new client.
Megan Scott
Megan joined AJ Accounts and Taxation Ltd in November 2024 as a school leaver after completing her A Levels. She is currently studying towards her AAT Level 2 qualification, demonstrating a strong commitment to developing her skills in accountancy to progress her career.
She supports the team by managing client post, as well as handling bookkeeping and reconciliations with accuracy and attention to detail.
